A file of strings included with a Cocoa application. The strings contain the copyright and other information for the application, which will be shown in the standard Cocoa ‘About’ window. Can be localized.

The CFBundleName entry is used to display the application name in the menu bar of the menu too.

The Info.plist contains important information about a bundle, be it an application, framework, plugin, etc… It is a list of key/value pairs; the values can be represented as strings, dictionaries, arrays, booleans, dates, data, or numbers. The Info.plist determines among other things: document types handled; services offered; help name and location. See http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPRuntimeConfig/Articles/PListKeys.html for more information
